PBS announced a renewal of its subscription to the second and third seasons of"Sanditon.". Justin Young ("The Clouds of Paradise Island") served as the lead screenwriter and executive producer, and Charles Stretcher ("After the Storm in Hometown") served as the chief director. The play is based on an unfinished novel of the same name written by Jane Austen, starring Ross Williams and Theo James. It tells the story of a young rural girl named Charlotte who meets a humorous and energetic man named Sidney, who attempts to turn this sleepy little village into a resort. Whether the villagers make money depends on whether the development plan succeeds.
